Like Butterflies...
Have you ever had this nagging fear, but at the same time very excited about doing something on your own? Freelancing has that same effect, especially with this crazy economy. I'm excited about the work that I'm doing and I'm enjoying every minute of my freedom, but at the same time this fear sort of swells up every once in a while because I'm not actually getting up to go to work for someone else. I’ve been told by my friends, who have their own businesses, to use that fear and get focused. I know times are tough now and some of us have families to consider when we decide to take risk, but remember it was these same types of risks and fears that propelled people like Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, and the like to the icons they are now. Take care and keep at it.

...In Slow Motion.
You ever get the feeling that your business progress is in slow motion? Its as if all your efforts have been for naught. Where do you go from here, and how do you keep motivated? My advice is never give up no matter what. Whatever efforts with regard to marketing and promotion, just continue to do your best. Hanging in there is the only real piece of advice anyone can give you. If you love what you do; the product, and/or the service you're providing, keep going. Obviously, if there are better marketing and promotional techniques that can push you and your business along, then by all means upgrade your methods, but don't let up and stay in the fight. Take care and hang in there.

Getting Better.
How do we get better at what we do? Trial and error seems the most logical answer. When we are in the process of doing, sometimes there isn't enough objectivity to rely on. Upon reflection, in retrospect, we can exam what has been done and measure our results objectively and by doing so we can then assess ourselves. The opportunity to make things better presents itself. Constant assessment of ourselves and how we things are what makes the difference. Successful people have all failed in some way or other. The opportunity to do things better is always available. Take care and be "successful".
